Stage 1: Training

Stage 2: Standard

General open-deck freight, legal loads, mostly routine routing. This is where fundamentals become habits: flawless securement, clean inspections, on-time every time. Master this stage and the big freight starts trusting you.

Stage 3: Specialized

Wide. Tall. Heavy. Permitted routes, escort coordination, and loads that take planning before they take highway. Your RGN and multi-axle work starts here, and so does the pay that comes with it.

Stage 4: Superload

This is true heavy haul. Extreme dimensions and weight. Police escorts. Night moves. Freight that only a handful of drivers in the country get trusted with. This is the top of the trade, built one safe load at a time.

How to Get Into Specialized and Heavy Haul Trucking
